I purchased this Klean Kanteen Insulated 20oz blue model at my local NYC store and I am loving it. I used my filtered water in my bottle and its tastes great. No plastic taste. But there is one slight problem or normal thing with the bottle. It RATTLES from the inside. I looked inside my bottle but there was nothing. Guess its part of the insulation. Should I be concerned and return it????

I am shocked at how cold the Kanteen's keep the liquids super cold. I can fill my Kanteen with ice and water in the morning and by the time I go to bed there is still ice left. I just keep filling it up with water throughout the day and NEVER have to replace the ice!

I love my KK insulated bottle. The wide mouth allows my brush to easily fit and scrub the insides of the bottle.
However, the biggest problem with KK is that after adding hot coffee at home, I am greeted with a surprising spray of hot coffee when I open the bottle at work (due to pressure build-up). I've already ruined several white work shirts because of this. The main design flaw with this thermos is that it uses outer threads which catches some liquid, instead of the more traditional inner threads that other companies use. In addition, the outer threads ALWAYS causes dripping of coffee down the sides. So I usually have a napkin on hand just to clean up the coffee dribble.
KK bottle is a great concept but flawed in execution. I contacted KK customer service and they are fully aware of this problem. Furthermore, they suggested that I "wait until the liquid has cooled to a drinkable temperature before sealing the lid." This clearly defeats the purpose of an insulated bottle, and I'm sure their "keeps hot up to 6 hrs" claim is not based on "drinkable temperature" liquids.
Do not waste your money on this product!!!!!!!!
Helpful hint: To get a really clean bottle try adding some hot water and denture cleaner (Efferedent). Efferedent will begin to bubble and lift away coffee/tea stains from the inside walls. You can also place the cap in a bowl and follow a similar procedure to clean the hard to reach inner gasket and threads.
